# Terms of use

These terms are the rules of an electronic service under Polish law. Name check is provided free of charge by Jakub Szczepaniak, contact: [jakub.page](https://jakub.page/).

- **The service.** Name check lists places to look up a product name, runs the lookups a browser can make itself, and turns your ratings into a risk signal. It needs a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript; no account.
- **Start and end.** Opening the page starts the use under these terms; closing it ends it, at any time and at no cost.
- **Not legal advice.** Results are a first signal, not a trademark search, clearance, or a promise that a name is free. Sources can be wrong or down. As far as the law allows, the author is not liable for decisions based on them; your rights as a consumer stay.
- **Your use.** Don't submit unlawful content or send automated bulk queries to the services looked up. Their own terms apply to them.
- **Complaints.** Send a complaint through the contact above, with what went wrong; you get an answer within 14 days.
- **Law and changes.** Polish law applies, without taking away the protection of the law of your country of residence. A change applies from the date below onward.
